Common questions
I can't sign in, or I forgot my password
Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen. We email you a link that lets you set a new one. If the email hasn't arrived after a few minutes, check your spam folder, then email us and we'll sort it out.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Delete account. You'll be asked to type DELETE to confirm. It takes effect immediately and permanently, and removes your login, profile, proof photos, history, friends and pending requests. Forfeits your group already recorded stay in that group's shared history with your name detached, so the record still makes sense for the people still in it.
If the in-app deletion fails, email us and we will delete the account for you.
Someone is being abusive, or posted something they shouldn't
Open the proof post or dispute, then tap Report in the top right. You can also tap Block on the same screen. Blocking takes effect immediately and works both ways: neither of you can see the other's proof afterwards. Reports go to a moderation queue reviewed within 24 hours, and we can remove a post or suspend an account.
If you'd rather email, write to lucasborgarello@icloud.com with what happened. You do not need to use the in-app report first.
How do I leave a group?
Group home, then Members, leave this group.
Do I have to pay a forfeit?
No. Forfeits are an informal arrangement between you and your friends. ProxI does not process, hold, guarantee or enforce any payment, and marking one "settled" only records that one member said they paid and another agreed. If your group's forfeit involves real money, that is entirely between you.
I missed a day but it wasn't my fault
Open the missed day and start a dispute. Your group votes, and a two-thirds majority waives the forfeit. Votes are private: only the member who cast a vote can see how they voted.
Who can see what I post?
Proof posts, notes and dispute reasons are visible to your accountability group only. Friends outside your group see much less: your name, username, avatar, streak, and whether you posted today. Anything you mark as a public goal is visible to anyone using the app. The Privacy Policy sets this out in full.
